I am publishing this copy of entries in a Dennis Family bible in the hopes of reconstructing this family.
The following names were given to me 11 yrs ago by a now
deceased relative who presumably copied them from the original bible. I believe them all to be siblings of a single family.
Joseph Dennis b 14th of 8th month 1813
Jacob " b 3rd of 1st month 1815 (m. Frances)
Sallyann " b 17th of 10th " 1816
Aaron " b 26th of 6th " 1818
Lewis " b 23rd of 9th " 1819
William " b 11th of 4th " 1822
David " b 2nd of 1st " 1823
Mary Eliz dau of Jacob and Frances, departed this life
Oct 6,1855
Milton Boyd Dennis, departed this life June 10, 1856
Rheuben sylvester Dennis, " April 23, 1857
John Dennis b 20th of 12 month 1825
Isaac " b 17th of 5th " 1827
Amos " b 17th of 9th " 1833
Margaret " b 14th of 3rd " 1836
Jacob departed this life Aug 12, 1898
(compiler of list noted she was not sure this was Jacob)
Frances Dennis, departed this life April 6, 1863

My research recently has confirmed to my satisfaction that
Jacob and Frances are the the parents of my maternal gr-grandfather, David Russell Dennis(1847-1927)
If, in fact, these persons ,born from 1813-1836, are all
siblings, I am searching for their parents and on back.
I founda recent hint on this site,message 3743, linking
this Isaac to a father named Isaac born in Vt or MA died
1864 in Wyoming Co., NY.
I am also searching for a Rachel Dennis(b 1858) in OH, who
married a Franch Nash in Michigan. She was probably a niece
of my gr-grandfather or a sister that did not show up in any
census.She was a grandmother of the lady that furnished this
bibly copy. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks
