Hello Sharon,
I think that I may have some information for you.I knew Maggie Magary for many years before she died. Her daughter, JoAnn, married my father, Hugo Steinhauer, in 1967 when I was twelve. They were still married in 1997 when he died.Unfortunately, JoAnn passed away just last Saturday, March 5, 2005.
So, for thirty years she was my step mother, and I spent some time with her mother, Margaret over those years.Actually, when I was in my teens, I would travel with Margaret to see my dad and JoAnn who lived four hours away from me.Margaret still lived in Marysville then, and she would pick me up on Friday afternoons and then we would spend the weekend in Amanda Park WA and drive back on Sundays.
I have just gone through a box of pictures that belong to JoAnn, and did not know who the people in the pictrues were until I read your e-mail.Several of the photos have "Dixie Wiley" written on the back.Still not sure who Dixie Wiley is, but seems to fit into your query.
I do know that Margaret Magary was a very nice lady, who was always kind to me.I liked her.Her daughter, JoAnn, was a good step-mom who was good to me and my brother, and never made us feel like we were less important than her own four children.
I do have the phone number for two of Margaret's grandsons, and have learned just this week that her oldest daughter, Charlene, is still alive. If you would like I can try to find Charlene who I believe still lives in Marysville.
I will wait to hear back from you.
