My maternal grandfather was James Dennington. I've been told he was originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland. As best as I can estimate, he was born in the mid-1800s. He emmigrated to New York. He married Mary Seward (not sure whether that was before or after leaving Ireland). They had 5 children: Catherine (my mother), Mary (called May), Dorothy, Joseph, and James. Grandfather James had 2 brothers(Joseph and Robert) and 2 sisters (Theresa and Winifred).
If this sounds like the James Dennington you know, I'd be very interested in finding out more about him.
