I may well be on another branch of the Denningtons. However, from the little bit of information I've been able to gather, I can't be sure. I'm researching James Polk Dennington or Denington (my dad and his 7 siblings were evenly divided on the spelling). James Polk was my G Grandfather. Born 8 June 1841in Tennessee or the Carolinas. May have been reared as an orphan by a Newhouse family in Tennessee. Married Elizabeth Newhouse Owens in Weakley County, Tennessee on 28 January 1869. He died on 29 September 1931near Paducah, KY and both he and Elizabeth are buried in Fulton, Kentucky. This is as far as I have been able to get in about 20 years of on-again off-again trying. I need help.
