I am currently researching my maternal grandmother's ancestry and have determined only that her parents were August Witzke and Anna Domeris. My grandmother, Bertha Marie Witzke came to Canada in the mid 1880's and worked for Andreas Schmuland and his wife Karolina Siewert. They were from East Prussia and we believe grandmother came from that same area.
Since Witzke is rare name in Germany (Prussia) I am wondering if you have any information on the Witzke family that might be pertinent to my search.
