AGERKVIST in Denmark
Posted by: Donna Hansen (ID *****9856) Date: May 15, 2013 at 18:07:37

Around the beginning of the twentieth century, when the Danish government began encouraging Danes to stop using the patronymic naming system, some of my relatives chose the surname 'Agerkvist'. So I am probably related to many Danes who bear that name today. Our common ancestor might be Peder Rasmussen, born 1807 in Norre Jernlose, Merlose, Holbaek, Zealand. If you think we might be related, please contact me.
