Thank you so much, both of you! You are so skilled, I am in awe. And thank you for the links/screenshots by email. Oh, what news! It all seems very likely. I am convinced that Anders Axel was on the 'United States' in 1922 at age 16. He might have been a stowaway (!). Poor boy. My research here in Denmark indicates that he might have had his reasons. Likewise I am sure he was on board the Nuevitas from Cuba, arriving in New York in 1923. Then he sort of disappears. After having learned that he cannot be seen in the censuses of 1930 and 1940,I now doubt that he emigrated to the U.S. Can you do that without a trace?
