In Reply to: Re: Descendents of great-great aunt? by Lissa Pedersen of 18538

Hi Lissa, this is what has been found so far. I have tried, unsuccessfully to find any other info on Karen or her children, since I only know two of their names.

Thank you again, for helping me!

My great-grandfather's name was Aage Faster Hansen - DOB 13 June 1885 died 13 July 1945.

Aage Fster Hansen
born 13 june 1885 in Copenhagen
baptized 2 august 1885 in Skt. Johannes Church.
Parents: Julius Carl Hansen and wife
Camilla Augusta Fster.

Aage Faster Hansen emigrated to America in 1905 and then married a woman named Anna Marie Sophia Jensen. They divorced in 1910. Aage remarried my great-grandmother Maud Barnett in January 1911. We have no idea what happened to Anna. My Aunt found out that Aage had to put ads in the paper looking for her and they granted him a divorce based on the fact that she never turned up and nobody knew where she was.

Copenhagen emigration registrations list the Aage Hansen below:

Aage Fister (should be Faster) Hansen 19, barber, arrived New York 5 Feb 1905 on ship St Paul from Southampton

(with a group of Danes who all listed destination as "friend Mr. Sogaard, Danish Consulate New Orleans)

Anna was listed on this manifest too and this record lists that they were married in March 1905 in Mississippi.

Aage's birth mother:
Camilla Augusta Fæster
died 3 august 1886 in Copenhagen,Skt.Matthæus Parish
buried 8 august 1886

She was buried together with her daughter
Inger Camilla Hansen, born 22 july 1886 and
died 5 august 1886.

His father, Carl Julius (or Julius Carl - I've seen it both ways) Hansen remarried Clara Theodore Christine Jensen, who is the mother of Aage's sister (who we have letters from)
Karen Margrethe Zeuthen Hansen
born 19 september 1888 in Copenhagen
baptized 4 november 1888 in Skt.Mathtæus CHurch.

Jonna Margrethe(the Margrethe is crossed out) Vibeke Nielsen was born 2 May 1911 to the unmarried Karen Margrethe Zeuthen Hansen and Johan Christian Nielsen, Valby, Sokkelund, København, opslag 194 nr 56.

I have a letter from Karen saying that she married Jonna's father, but then divorced.

Karen later married Eugene Leisted and they had 3 children. I know a girl named Zytte (who was living in Vording with someone named Else Larsen in 1922) and a boy who is reported (in a letter) to be 5 in 1922.

Below is also more info you found on Johan Nielsen and Karen Margrethe:

It seems as if the father of Jonna Vibeke was also an actor. Could be him here in Copenhagen:

Could also be him here: (remember the reverse side, too)!

It seems as if he has been married several times!

On this site about Danish films, Johan is also mentioned:

Born: 14 November 1880 in Århus.
Died: 25 March 1968
Burial place: Bispebjerg Cemetery - Kbh (Kbh = København = Copenhagen)

Johan Christian Nielsen was engaged at Odense Theater 1929-30 and played the role of Bogdanowitsch in "The merry widow". Moreover he was touring and engaged at Casino (= a theatre).

He also starred in 4 silent movies as mentioned on the film page.

Here you will a.o. find a photo of Johan:
I don't know exactly, what it is, but see this page - search for "Karen Margrethe Zeuthen Hansen":

And here:
The first link shows that she was a "new member" in 1956, and the second link that she died in Copenhagen 23 April 1960 at age 72.

Just for info:
