I am looking for the ancestors of Soren Christensen Bistrup who was possibly born in Bistrup Bye, Djurs, Norre Herred, Denmark according to another site. He was born about 1693 in Denmark and died in 1770 in Melsomvik, Norway. He married Aasle R Getzman and that is possibly why he went to Norway to marry her. I understand that some families took the name of the farm or village they lived in as their last name. I can trace the Bistrup/Brestrup family from Norway to Denmark through Soren Christensen Bistrup who was born in Denmark. His parents may have been Christen Bistrup and Maren? Any help would really be appreciated. Soren Christensen Bistrup had a son named Peder Sorensen Bistrup born in Norway. I am trying to find the parents os Sorensen Christensen Bistrup in Denmark. Thank you.
