BROWN , PALLESEN , PRUSS
My John Brown was born somewhere in Denmark .
He married under that name in Grafton , New South Wales , Australia , in 1868.
However no relevant details such as names of parents were recorded on his marriage certificate.
He does not appear to have been 'naturalised ' in Australia.
The following records mention a John Brown ...
Assisted/Unassisted and crew lists to Australia:
Able Seaman John Brown ,possibly christened December 1838 , in Denmark, came on the ship Heather Bell which arrived in New South Wales , Australia , on 15th April 1865............... So 'John Brown ' was aged 26 years at that time .
Could this person , known as 'John Brown' in Australia , have also been :-
Johan Andreas Brunn Pallesen
Christened 21 December 1838 at :
Helligaands Kirke
Kobenhavn
Kobenhavn
Denmark
His parents were listed as :
Father : Andreas Andersen Pallesen
Mother : Cathrine Caroline Pruss
Any thoughts will be appreciated , as I continue the long search for my Great grandfather's roots....
