Thanks, Karsten. Yes, that's the record I have. While I still miss the "Fritz" in that record, the age coincides and now also the occupation (carpenter) would match.

How important should the "Fritz" be for censuses??? I assume that being the first name would make it the sure name to appear, with Lauritz being left out if only one name is recorded. But when I've searched for Fritz Larsen in censuses I've never found anyone close to the age. Are there any spelling variations for Fritz? Or is it also used as a nickname for Frederick? I wonder this because the marriage certificate was written by a Chilean clerk who might have misspelled it and because Fritz Lauritz Larsen became known as Federico Lorenzo Larsen in South America.

Many thanks for any clue that can help me find him in some Danish register.
