Breckenridge: JOHN C. DENMAN, 85, retired trucking contractor, died Tuesday in Stephens Memorial Hospital where he was admitted Feb. 12. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Melton’s Chapel of Memories with Rev. JAMES N. WILLIAMS, pastor of Shelton Ave. Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Breckenridge Cemetery.
Mr. Denman was born Oct. 12, 1884 in Alabama and moved to Breckenridge from Albany in 1920. He married THELMA MAVE March 3, 1952 in Breckenridge. He was a member of Shelton Ave. Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include his wife; a son ELMER of Fort Worth; two sisters, Mrs. DEAN RIPPETOE of Brownwood and Mrs. ARTHUR WILLS of Donna; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death.
Pallbearers will be JOHN S. WILLIAMS, WELDON LEONARD, BILL PRESLEY, BOD HARRISON, GENE DENDY and WAYNE HURFORD.
