I have recently required a book about the Denley family history here in Britain. The book is called "A clearing in the valley" by John Denley Barnes. The name Denley comes from an old english word 'denu' meaning valley and 'ley' meaning a wood clearing. So the name appears to mean that of the book title. On reading the chapter on Denleys in America I found a reference to a James Denley who first set foot in South Carolina and was born around 1705.possibly in Kent, England but this has not been proved. From this person came the family tree that appears to link into the names you mention in your request. James Denley 1715-157 m Mary Hyde Their children were - James 1753-1808 m Elendor Elder then Susan Brewer. Their children were - William 1796-1854 Nicholas Perkins 1800-1888 There is quite q bit of history with regards the above and if this is of help to you please contact me by e-mail and perhaps I can help you with a bit more of the Denley history. With the help of the books author I have a direct line of decendents to the year 1654 . I reside in Wales but most of my decendants were from the Cotswold area of England.
