I have been tracing the DENLEY family for years, primarily in Mississippi. My great-grandmother, Susan Ann Denley Crowell, was the daughter of Minor W.S. Denley. She was born in Yalobusha County, MS in 1844. Minor was the son of William Denley who, along with his brother Nicholas Perkins Denley, came to MS from Washington Co., AL, before the 1820 census. These brothers were sons of James, and Susan Brewer Denley, who were early settlers (1787) of Washington County, Mississippi Territory.
I am very interested in exchanging data with others interested in this line. I was excited to see a Denley message board, but disappointed when I found no messages posted. I hope mine will be the first of many.
