Per the Denison Genealogy Book, which you can buy online from the Denison Society on Mystic, CT this is your history, perhaps tracking his children will help with Sophia:

"Asa S. Denison (Wm-Avery-Wm-John-Geo) was b Nov 1778; d Willsboro, NY, Dec 12, 1842; m Jan 04, 1801 to Betsey Smith.Lived in Stafford, Vt, and Willsboro, Essex Co, NY.'Children:
2271 Sophia b 1802; d Aug 1868, m twice.
2272Dudley C. b Jan 5 1805; d june 14 1868; m Laura H. Thompson.More in book on his family.
*2273Stratton b Dec 1806; m April 3 1835 Wealthy Robinson.
2274Eliza b Dec 6 1808, , Aaron hoyt.

The book records the children of Captain George Denison of Bishops Stortford, England & his migration to CT & his parents in England & his 2 marriages to 1st Bridget Thompson (no male children) and to 2nd Ann Borodell.
