My Grandfather's name was Joseph William DENHAM Welborn b.25 Oct 1862. His father(??) was Aaron Terrell Welborn (also known as Terrell Welborn)b.abt 1826 m.1854 Luanzie Sims. Was there possibly another marriage - or do we have the wrong great grandfather? Our records are a little confusing here and we're trying to find some solid ground.
Welborn's were also well established in the NC, SC area but were found throughout the colonies.
It was a common practice for Welborn's to use the wifes family name as a first or middle name.
We are stumped by the use of DENHAM in his name. If ANYONE knows of a WELBORN-DENHAM link I would be forever grateful.
