Eliza Jane Denham (b. 1780) was the 6th child of William Denham (b. 1745 in Old Virginia; d. Dec. 1819 in Fishing Creek, Kentucky) and first wife _Turner (d.June 5, 1785). It is believed that _Turner died in childbirth with Jurusha (10th child), b. 1785. Wm. had 7 more children with 2nd wife Elizabeth Parker. (It is believed he fathered 20 children but I only account for 17). Wm. Denham served in the Rev. War. He was the son of James Denham (bp. England; d.22 Apr 1760/Perth Amboy, New Jersey) and Abigaile Mason. It is said that James came to America with mother and 3 brothers and a sister from England. Father was buried at sea. (From The History of William Denham and His Family by Marie Foster, c.1971)

I am a descendant of William's oldest son John H. Denham (b. May 6, 1771).
