Oliver was my step father. I'm having a very hard time researching his family. Here's what I know.
He was born 18 Sep 1925 in Glendale, Hardin, KY. He always said his family was in Tompkinsville (Monroe County) KY. He said a cousin of his was once mayor of the town.
Oliver moved west to California. He spent a very brief time in the Army at Camp Roberts. He settled in Downtown Los Angeles where he married at least twice. As far as I know he fathered no children.
He died in 1989 from Parkinsons disease.
He married Jean Lucille Nelson in 1973 and they divorced in 1974.
He married Thelma Sholley in 1983.
Another possible wife is Florence. I found a copy of her death certificate in his things after my mother died. I cannot find any marriage records or birth records. She does not even appear in the Social Security Death Index (not even with her SSN). The only information I have is what's on the DC.

Parents are listed as unknown.
Here's the odd part. At the time of death she was living in the same apartment where Oliver was living when he met my mother several years later. Yet the death certificate lists any known spouses as unknown and the informant is listed as:
F.B.I - Washington, D.C.
C.I.I. - Sacramento, CA
L.A. Co. Coroner - LA Co.
After an autopsy it was determined she died of a heart attack.
