I just found your exchange with Kerri, with whom I have also been corresponding on the Denglers. My mother's maiden last name is Denler, descended from the Jakob Dennler family which migrated from Langenthal Switzerland about 1857 to Port Huron MI. Among the six children was Frederick (Fred) Dennler (later Denler), born on December 22, 1847 in Langenthal. I have only three items on him - the 1880 Port Huron Census, an address from the Internet of a Fred Denler at 1012 Mackinaw St, Saginaw in 1889-90 (about 6 blocks from Caroline Dengler on Charles Street mentioned by Kerri), and a reference in an obit (1923) of his sister, Johanna Dennler Meier, referring to a brother Fred in Flint. I have found that a variety of official records have given different names, for the Dennlers/Denlers, including Dengler. Does any of this ring a bell in regard to your family? Very grateful for your reply. Regards, Jim
