Henry Denbo, born 8-27-1870 in Crawford Co., Indiana, died on 1-24-1924 in English, Crawford Co., Indiana, and is buried in the Denbo Cemetery in English. He married on 10-18-1893 in Crawford County, Rozella Jane Crews, born 10-20-1876 in Taswell, Crawford County, and died on 4-3-1943 in Plainville, Davies Co., Indiana. He was a teacher then became a Methodist Minister, and was a son of Francis Denbo, a merchant and mill owner near English. Rozella was a daughter of Jeremiah Richard Crews (1852-1935) and wife, Sarah Elizabeth Goldman (1851 or 1856-1932) of Crawford County. J. R. Crews was the county sheriff for several years. Rozella was a sister of my grandfather, David Henry Crews who married Samantha E. Enlow, and they also moved to Macksville, Stafford County, Kansas, but before your grandfather, Russell Denbo, moved there. I knew Russell and wife, Pauline Welch, and wrote to Pauline just a few years ago to bring me up to date on Henry and Rozella's children. Samantha was a daughter of Joseph Enlow and wife, Mariah E. Denbo, of Crawford County, Indiana. Russell and Pauline Denbo married on November 13, 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri. They owned a funeral home in Burton, Kansas, near Wichita, and he is buried in the Farmington Cemetery in Macksville, Stafford Co., Kansas. Evelyn Rowland Notify Administrator about this message?
