Looking for info on Susanah. I feel her husband may have been John Dempsey of Amherst Co. Va., but can find no proof positive. She had a son William who married in 1799 in Amherst to Patsy Landrum. Marriage permission slip lists Susanah as his mother. There is also a marriage bond at the couthouse.Susannah is listed as a witness on several land deeds to other people. I am guessing that John or whoever her husband was had died before 1799. Any info out there anywhere-I'm stuck. Thanks
