merril, am direct decendent of Lawrence dempsey, founder of dempseytown. Used to live and work in oil city, pa. I'm not aware of a library devoted to the dempsey's but could be wrong. There is a family cemetary there and some living relatives, it should be an interesting visit. Have lots of information, send e-mail address.
