Can anyone help ?
On page 122b of the Logan co 1850 census the James Dempsey family is listed. I am trying to locate just WHERE this was. Have heard that it MAY have been on top of Dingess Mt. Stories of old , falling down cabins, and a grave yard near there suggest this COULD have been the home place, But this is all hear-say thus far.
The micro-film should show the district where this family lived, but I do not have any way of reading that film . Can anyone help.?
Living near, and around this Dempsey family were the families of SMOOTS / Lawsons / Dingess / Curry
I believe that Rachel Solomon Dempsey, mother of James, and living with him may well be buried near this home place. Please...............can anyone throw out any ideas ? Thank you
