I am interested in the Dempsey in Arkansas. Two of my Ggrand-father's brother's went to Ark and lived in Searcy, Ark. & Monroe Co., Ark. which is close to Brinkley, Ark. George Washington Dempsey lived at Duncan in the 1880 census he was born in NC c 1853 married Jane ??. His mother was living with him then. Her name was Ellendar King Dempsey b abt 1815 NC. I donot have his children names. His brother Samuel (twin) b. May 1838 married Harriet King. They had two children George W. Dempsey b. Dec 1873 Ark. m. Nettie Bell?? and they had two children William Henry and Lillie Mae b. 1899. Martha Dempsey married ? Lay and then to a John Miller. If you have any information on these Dempsey I would love to share with you.
