I am the 4g-granddaughter of John FINLEY & Mary Caroline DEMPSEY, m 1804, NC....
I descend through their daughter, Caroline, b 1810, Newton Co, GA...Caroline m William Collier HODNETT, 1824, GA...
The following children for John FINLEY & Mary Caroline DEMPSEY are what I have at this time in my research...hopefully, these are correct:
1 Peter Dempsey FINLEY (given name might suggest that Mary DEMPSEY's father was Peter DEMPSEY)
2 Patsy FINLEY
3 Caroline FINLEY
4 John FINLEY
5 William FINLEY
6 Charles FINLEY
I am also searching for Mary Caroline DEMPSEY's parentage...if I find anything concrete, I will contact you...
