I am trying to locate information about my great grandmother - Frances Mary Dempsey (possibly Mary Frances Dempsey) who was known as Frances (and whose husband called her Molly). She had at least two sisters - we know of Emma, who was married to Arthur Edward Punt, had two daughters (Margery and Eileen / Aileen) and lived in NSW, Australia; also Nancy who lived in New Zealand (no further details known).
Frances married James Rolston and they had four (living) children - Kathleen (Kitty), Audrey (my grandmother), James and Eric Travers (known as Bob). They spent much of their married life in India, and retired to Australia (Stanthorpe, Queensland). After my great grandfather's death in 1928, Frances returned to the UK and probably lived at Folkestone (at least part of the time).
It is thought that Frances' family are Scottish and that she had relatives in Glascow.
Anyone who can answer any questions about these "Dempsey girls" and particularly about Frances, please reply! I would love to hear from you!
