Hi there-this is new for me, so just bear with me:
My mother's maiden name is dempsey. First name is Alice. She has four siblings-two boys, two girls: Jean, Catherine, James and Michael, Jr. They are the children of Michael John Dempsey and Catherine Green.
Michael, Sr. was my grandfather and is one of 7 kids; James, Catherine, Agnes, John, Margaret, and Mary. (John went by Jack).
They are the children of Martin Dempsey, born in 1864 in Sligo, Ireland (Mayo County). He married a girl by the name of Delia McDermott.
Martin is the son of Andrew Dempsey and Catherine Finnerty, both of Ireland. I believe Andrew was born sometime around 1840-45 or so.
Any thoughts?
