I'm trying to learn more about the family of William Dempsey of Baltimore. He was born in Ireland around 1825. He married Catherine Cummins (also born in Ireland and her Father was Thomas Cummins) and all of their children were born in Baltimore Maryland. These children were: Patrick Dempsey 1851, Thomas F. Dempsey 1852, John Dempsey 1857, James Dempsey 1858, Andrew Dempsey 1860, Julia Dempsey 1860, William Dempsey 1862, Mary A. Demspey 1864, Margaret Dempsey 1866, Elizabeth Dempsey 1866, Peter J. Dempsey 1868, and Catherine Dempsey 1870. It is not entirely clear if all these children found living with William Dempsey and Catherine Cummins are truly their children because some of them appear in one census record or another suggesting that they may actually be Dempsey relatives living with this family.
