I'm trying to work out a puzzle and I'm hoping someone can help me! Martha E. Demoss married Daniel Carlyle 25 Mar 1881 Hendricks County, Indiana. According to census documents (and another Carlyle researcher), Martha's parents were George and Matilda. 1880 census shows George W b. ca 1828 in Indiana, parents from TN. Matilda b. ca 1829, parents from NC. Other children are Isaac, Andrew J., John S., and Permelia. I'm note sure where it came from, but I have Matilda's maiden name as Foulke and that seems to go along with grave stone records, etc. I haven't been able to find much on this family at all, but I'm starting to wonder if George is the son of Andrew R. Demoss and Elizabeth Sarah Prewitt. There is a George in the 1850 census in Martin County, Indiana with brother Andrew and mother Elizabeth b. 1803 TN. I'm just not sure on this one. Anyone have any further info on any of these people?? Thanks jamie Notify Administrator about this message?
