Seeking parentage of Mary Elizabeth DeMoss (or simply
Elizabeth) purportedly born in Maryland around 1839-40.
Married Frederick Mortimer Dotson, born Virginia or
West Virginia around 1835. An 1880 census shows they
were living in Union, Oregon. May be related to the
DeMoss Family Lyric Bards who came to Oregon in 1862-64
and settled for a time in Cove, Oregon, 8 miles north
of Union in the Grand Ronde Valley. Mary Elizabeth
died in 1898 in Eugene, Oregon.
