Claiborne Parish LA..DeMoss murder aft 1835

I found this interesting note:
History of Claiborne Parish LA:
After 1835, occurred an assault on Miss Demos, a girl of eighteen years, by one Lambright. Not content with assaulting her, he murdered her in the most cruel manner, left some evidences of his guilt, was arrested, but while waiting trial escaped from the jail and fled to Texas.
I have some Lambrights in my husband's Wise family and I found a John Demoss..wife Martha McDaniel...with them in 1860 is Nancy A Wise..57 yrs old.
Is she the widow of James B Wise? and does anyone have any info on the murder of the young girl and which Lambright it was?
Thanks..
Ann Wise..Copperas Cove TX
