Thank you for your reply. I have looked at your website and compared that with my notes. Apparently we may have two sets of brothers named Sam and Andrew. I don't have a date of death on my Sam B. "Demumber" (although there is an obit in the Tennessean for Oct 1964 for Sam B., but there are many Sams).

Sam's brother Andrew is also a question. I have an obit, probably from the Tennessean, saying he was born in 1899 in College Grove, TN and died in 1968. In the 1924 Nashville City Directory W. A. (William Andrew) "Demumbran" is listed as a student at Vanderbilt University Medical College. This would definitely be the Andrew who died in 1968.

Also in the 1924 Nashville City Directory, Saml. B. (Rose) Demumber is listed as a sawyer at Southern Lumber Co. This is definitely my Sam.

My question for you is: When did your Samuel marry Leathe? If it was after 1924, we might have the same Samuel.

Thanks again,
Nancy
