Although I can find listings of the children of John B. [Jean Baptiste] all over the Internet, I am wondering about the documentation.
Specifically what is the proof that John Gabriel Demonbreun and Mariah Demonbreun [married James Boyd] were his children?
Also with regard to Mary Nancy Castledena Demonbreun, who married Joseph Binkley, how do we know that she was the daughter of John B.? I notice that William Demonbreun had a daughter named Nancy of about the same age who appears in one census as N. M. Nancy Demonbreun Binkley's death certificate shows her father's name as "Bill." [I realize that death certificates can be wrong.]
