Sorry to be so long in seeing this. I have been so involved in working and in the DAR that I haven't had much time to check the forum out lately. The DAR has a national website, www.dar.org. From that site, you can locate your area and a chapter nearest you. While there aren't too many Demonbreun's who have joined, there have been 4 that I know about, including myself and my daughter. The registrar of the chapter can help you prepare the paperwork for the application and find any documentation that you might not have. It is a great organization. We are very active in patriotic events, we work to take care of our veterans, and we also support 5 schools for underpriviledged children...among other things.
Good luck, Debbie
