Hello Everyone,
My name is Jerry Duane Prince. I am the 7th Great Grandson Of Jacques Timothe De Montbrun, a French Canadian who settteled Nashville, TN and the first citizen of Nashville. My Great Great Grand Father was Felix, and my Great Grand Mother was Sarah Luella DeMunbrun Prince.
I have arranged a Spring gathering at the Harding Mall, Luby's Cafeteria, 4050 Nolensville Pike Suite 310, Nashville, TN, at 1:30 P.M. for all the families (branches) that can attend.
Please e-mail at hulseprince@insightbb.com to let me know if you can attend by April 1, 2004 so I can have an accurate account of those attending the gathering for Luby's cafateria.
I have called James McBroom and put my name in the ring for the Presidency of the Society for the elections of 2005.
Dr Steve DeMunbrun is President of the Society now.
Glenda Merhoff is Vice President of the Society and Ethel Rust is Sec. of the Society and Peggy Binkley is the Tres. of the Society, they have asked me if I would be the next President of the Society and I would be honored to do it.
My son's and I are going to put out a news letter after the 17th gathering in Nashville and would love for anyone to send us a small article of interest about their (our) families or just, "a remember when", article so that we can put it in the news letter. We will have information on the Summer Meeting 2004 and other interesting facts, messages, and atricles, up coming dates, births, deaths and hearing from you would help get this newsletter off the ground. We will have posting's of gatherings and upcoming events. I hope I can count on support from all of you in this endever.
I want the Society to succeed and flourish and it can not if all of us don't give a little bit of our time to help it along. We have new generations that need to know there heritage and where they come from. I am proud of where I come from and want to help make it a learning experience and historical fact finding society of our family roots. Hope to see as many family members in Nashville on the 17th as possible.
