You may be surprised to learn that the father of your Eliza Ann Van Patten was Aaron Van Patten, 6th generations from the first Van Patten to imigrate to New Amsterdam by 1664 from the town of Petten in North Holland, the Netherlands. We have visited this seaside village and seem the early church registry of Claes' baptism on 30 May 1641, son of Frederick. The Van Patten line from Claes 1 goes this way:Arent 2, Nicholas A.3,Arent N. 4, Nicholas A. 5, Aaron 6 to Eliza Ann 7th generation. They were a very old Albany, New York family. You can see that Eliza Ann was not the daughter Nicholas who came over from Holland just before the Rev. War. Yes, I have lots on this Van Patten line if you need to correct your info.
