Eliakim was a resident of Farmington & Southington. in the Hartford Courant, #148, there is a long account of the burning of his house in 1767, at which time he is called an innholder of Farmington. it is said that he lived in Queen Street, Southington, near the end of the town.

I got the information from Judson Keith Deming's book "The Deming Genealogy". the microfilm can be gotten from the Family History Library of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. there is no indication that this branch of the family left Southington, CT with the exception of Selah Deming & his family. I hope this helps some. if I can answer any other questions, e-mail me. good luck.

Debi
