I have been researching the 1900 census for all states and all dements. I have Illinois, Arkansas,Maryland,
Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama completed I have a list on Microsoft Works, also I have them in my FTm notes. I have quite a few more to do, But I will do them. I will send them soon. in the meantime tonight I thought I would check Genforum and maybe you do not have this information. if you do. Sorry just throw it away.

Mrs. Anna Bean Ayers Dement....Page 206 DAR ID Number 24573.....Born in Dixon, Illinois.....Wife of Lewmon David Dement.....Descendant of Jabez Ayres and of William Bean....Daughter of Jason Cyrus Ayres and of William Bean....Daughter of Jason Cyrus Ayres and Lavina Crawford, his wife....granddaughter of Sylvanus Ayers and Anna Bean, his wife....Gr.-granddaughter of Jabez Ayres and Persis Stuart, his wife; William Bean and Lydia Nutting. his wife....William Bean, (1746-1833) was at the battle of bunker Hiss and received a pension for seventeen months actual service. He was born in Boston;died inOpenheim, NY Jabez Ayres, (1737-1824), who had served in the early wars, was a private in Capt. Thomas Whipple company of Massachusetts militia, He was born in New Braintree, Mass., died in Herkimer, N. Y.

Biography of Jason C. Ayres:He is a son of Col. Sylvanus and Anna (Bean) Ayres and on both sides is descended from old families of New England His family story is very interesting, but i cannot put it all down, so am putting only what pertains to the Dement Family:
Page 6: He was married in May 1861 to Lavina C. daughter of Dr. John S. Crawford of Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Ayres passed away September 21, 1907 survived by one daughter Mrs. Ann A. Dement, widow of Lewmon D. Dement of Dizon, who with her saughters, Carmen L. and Rosanna V. Dement reside with her father in the old home,--her other daughter, Esther A. Dement having been united in marriage with Morgan Lloyd Davies of Chicago and residing in that city.
Page 134 in 1890 Mr. Lewmon D. Dement became associated with Gran Detour Plow Company, run by Theron Cumins, Henry T. Noble, Orris B., Dodge and Charles H. Noble, and he eventually became Secretary. He died October 16, 1903
On PAGE 135 THE DIXON NATIONAL BANK It was organized in Sept 1871 and John Dement, was vice president. The Ayres and Dodge's are still affilated with this bank when this article was written
