Here is what I have on Elizabeth Demarest's parents, family, and ancestors. The information is from research my sister did and I don't know the sources other than what is posted:
Elizabeth1 Demarest, born abt 1725 in New Castle Co., Del; died 1803 in KY, daughter of 2. Jan Demarest and 3. Alice (Elsie or Elsje) Earle. She married in 1744 in Culpepper Co., VA John Browning, born abt 1728 in Culpepper County, Va, son of Francis Sr. Browning and (Mary) Elizabeth Lloyd.
Notes for John Browning
1756 In March he was one of the nineteen men enrolled in the infantry of Culpepper County as a foot soldier. He was also a soldier in the Revolutionary War. By Occupation, he was a farmer. His wife was a French Huguenot. From EFB's book.
