Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I was also looking at purchasing the Demarest books...then I stumbled across the Website for the Demarest Genealogical Society (http://www.demarests.com). They are producing an updated edition, to be completed in 2005. The 1964 version is available free on their Website as a .zip file. I am electing to wait until the 2005 version comes out -- they are also adamant that the 1938 and 1964 genealogies contain numerous errors.

It's worth a look!

Stacy
