New Moranville

For those of us who have very little info on our respective lineage, could anyone recommend a good place to start?

I never knew my father or grandfather, so trying to track this back through them is very difficult.

My father's name was Charles Craig Moranville and I'm not sure about my grandfather except that he moved back to the Midwest after leaving my grandmother. He was killed in a car accident in Council Bluffs, Iowa, I believe.

I am of the understanding that there were 13 original siblings who emmigrated to Canada from Marans, France and then filtered down to the midwest.

Is there anyone who can help me put together these scraps of info?
