Maria Deluca

Hi,
I'm researching me family tree and have no information on my grandmother. This is the only line I'm having a problem with.

Her name was Maria DeLuca, born in the 1890's and she was married to Walter Snow. My father Everett Snow, b. 1928 (their son) died when I was very young and the family have no information on her. This is all I know for sure.

My fathers birth record sayes his mothers name was Mary Lucas and was born in Boundbrook, NJ. Her death record sayes her name was Maria DeLuca born in Italy. I have contacted NJ for a birth record in both names, but they have no record.

The story in the family is that her real name was Maria DeLuca, but because her husband was a Merchant in the 1920's they decided to tell people her name was Mary Lucas because it was a bad time to have an Italian name.
She may have been born in Boundbrook, NJ to Italian parents or came here as a baby. The family thinks there was a connection with NJ.
When she got married she lived and died in Weymouth, Ma.
I would be so thankful for any information on my grandmother.
Thanking you
Sharon Snow
