They probably were related in some way. My Great Grandfather & Great Grandmother Rosario DeLuca and Guisipina DeLuca both were born in 1880. I believe they came to NY in 1906. I found a ship registry that has Rosario and Giuseppa came in 1906 both were 26 years old. I'm not 100% sure this is them, There was also a Giuseppe Deluca on the same ship he was 31. I don't know if he was traveling with them. The name of the ship was the Konig Albert. MY Grandfather Gaspare (Gasper) had three Brother. Frances (Frankie), Johnnie, and Leoluca (Louie). They also had a sister who's name escapes me now. I will find out from my Father. Unfortunatly the all have passed. My Grandfather's Mother (Guisipina) Died in the 1920's. His Father (Rosario) went back to Sicily and married her sister Maria. She was born in 1888. Basically the story goes is he went back to ask the father if he could marry the sister. The Father told her to go to America and take care of your Sister's kids.

I hope this helps. If I find out more I will repley again

Joe DeLuca
