Delp/Delph DNA Study Update

We now have DNA results for two descendants of Peter Delp/Delph (b. ca 1755, d. bef 11 Dec 1840 in Grayson Co., VA). One gentleman descends from Peter's son Daniel (b. ca 1776 in NC, d. 1860 in Hawkins Co., TN), while the other descends from Peter's son John (b. ca 1777 NC, d. aft 1850). The two men match each other on 12 out of 12 markers. This exact match indicates that their Y-DNA is that of their common male ancestor Peter Delp(h), the progenitor of the Grayson Co., VA Delp/Delph family.

Study results can be viewed at: http://www.familytreedna.com(ebn0lxua2dh2aobo1bvdfe55)/public/DelpDelph/index.aspx

Direct male descendants (men possessing the surname Delp or Delph) of the PA Johann George Delp family and the Culpeper/Madison Co., VA Conrad Delp family are needed to determine if the Johann, Conrad, and Peter Delp families are related or are in fact different families that simply share the same name.

If you are a male with the surname Delp, Delph, or some other variation, you can join the study at: http://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.asp?code=V11423&special=True
