Finally I have found solid proof of this family. 1870 Lee Co Census shows the following information. Rocky Station district:Delph, Jacob (64) wife Armina (44), son William S. (Simpson) 14, daughter Frances D. 12, son Emmit 10, son Jacob 8, son Granville 6, son (James) Monroe 4, infant son (probably Joseph) 10 months. It shows Armina was born in Hawkins Co, Tn and Jacob was born in Va but the county is hard to read but it may be Grayson but I'll keep looking. William Simpson is my link down the tree. Hope this helps someone. Updates to follow.
