I have Nancy Lou Thena Delozier (my great grandmother) b. 1857 or 1859 Trundles Roads TN, d. 1949 or 1950 Schulter OK, m. A.C. Murphy also of TN about 1877, moved to OK after 1879. Nancy's father is Andrew Delozier probably of TN and her mother is Clarinda Davis also probably of TN.
I am actually looking for these people after they left Tennessee while my grandfather, Andrew Benjamin Murphy b. 31 March 1886, was still living at home so I can find the older brothers and sisters with names, ages, and birth places.
While searching GenForum I found information on Deloziers in TN and noticed that some names seem to have passed down through the generations---names that some of them are not too common as name for children. I have a great Aunt Tennie (Tennessee Clarinda Murphy), an Uncle Crum (Oliver C.S. Murphy), Andrew is another name that I seem to find frequently.
I think maybe I might have a connection to the Deloziers mentioned in the postings by Teresa Mattox Cloud, Patricia Winters, and possibly Douglas Richards. The posting that had a relative from Trundles Crossroads is probably connected to Nancy L. Delozier Murphy as she was born in a place listed as Trundles Roads. I'll bet they're the same place.
Does any of this ring a bell with anyone?
While my original search was for A.C. Murphy and Nancy Lou Thena Delozier Murphy after they left Tennessee for Oklahoma, I would be very pleased and greatful to have information on their ancestors and not just their descendants.
