Debi,

Our records (provided by Steve Barton one of our subscribers - a descendent of Joseph Wade DeLozier) show that Joseph Wallace DeLozier was the son of George Thomas DeLozier and his wife Amanda Jones. He was born about 1879 in Ne. and he went by the name of Wallace. He married twice, first to Virginia Susan "Jennie" Palmour (1878-1947). They had a son Joseph Wade DeLozier Sr. (1902-1975). Wallace and Jennie divorced and he married Elizabeth Miller. Wallace and Elizabeth had a son Roy Otto DeLozier born on 13 Oct 1910 in Ok. Roy died in 1989 in San Luis Obispo, Ca.

We printed a picture of Wallace Delozier on the cover of one of our newsletters. The picture was also provided by Steve Barton. Who wrote "Sometime before 1911 Jennie and Wallace were divorce and Wallace remarried to Elizabeth Miller. This was an event which would, ironically, be to Jennie's good fortune. As family legend tells it, Wallace engaged in a gunfight with another man for reasons now unknown. Wallace died instantly from a gunshot wound, but in the course of the fight had also mortally wounded his adversary. Seeing her fallen husband, Elizabeth ran to Wallace's side only to be shot and killed by her husband's slayer. Wallace and Elizabeth were survived by their son Roy o. DeLozier (born c. 1911"

I don't have any more information on Roy Otto DeLozier and would appreciate any thing you can tell me about him and descendants.
I hope this helps.

Carole Delozier
