Mary "Polly" Delozier, d. 1850, Walker C

Who are the parents of Mary, called Polly, Delozier? Tradition says she was married in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, to Capt. John Crane/Crain, (War of 1812, Battle of Bexar in Texas War of Independence, etc.) in ca 1811 and they moved to Hardeman County, Tennessee. They settled in Walker County, Texas by 1834 where John Crane was granted a league of land in Vehlins Colony.

Capt. John Crane was killed by an Indian arrow in the Battle of the Neches July 15, 1839. Polly Crane died about 1850 and her estate was settle in Walker County, Texas in 1851. John and Polly Crane had 9 children: Elizabeth Ann, Greenberry P., Eliza, Mary Jane, Andrew Jackson, Narcissus Emaline, Newel Walton, John Houston, and William Ambrose.

The line I'm researching is through the oldest son, Greenberry P. Crane, his son, John Delozier Crane, his son, William Berry Crane, and his daughter, Flossie Delilith Crane (my husband's mother).

Since the close proximity of the Delozier's of Henry County, Virginia, it is possible Polly Delozier was connected to them in some way. There was a Leanard Delosher on the 1790 census of Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Does anyone have any information that would help me locate Mary "Polly" Delozier Crane's parents?

Norma Golightly Wilson
