I read your message about Joseph Delon. My brother in law has traced our family history back to the First Generation starting with Samuel Miller. In a document from the www.wisconsinhistory.org website. Samuel Miller was adopted by John Miller of the Stockbridge Munsee Tribe when they lived in New York. It also stated that his real name was Samuel Delon and he was born in Shumo Bay, Sacketts Harbor New York. It also listed that he had a brother Joseph.

The following is some of the information generated about Samuel Delon also known as Samuel Miller

Samuel A. MILLER was born in 1812 in New York. He died on 17 Aug 1889 in Gresham, Wisconsin.

Samuel married Harriet JEHARAKIM YOCCUM daughter of Jehoiakim YOCCUM and Phoebe QUINNEY DuCharme on 7 Jul 1831 in Wisconsin. Harriet was born in 1814 in New York.

My interest is to determine if the Joseph Delon or Delong you described and Samuel are the two brothers mentioned in the documentation from the Wisconsin History web page.

My family is very interested to learn more about the Delon family history.

Regards,
Roger Miller
