Joseph Delong 1850 in Wisconsin

I am researching the genealogy of Joseph Delong. He is listed on the 1850 Federal Census as living in Green Bay, Wisconsin. His occupation is Cloth Dresser/Dryer. His wife and children however are listed with the last name of Delon. Joseph's age is 38, his wife Eliza Delon is 33. The children are Elizabeth, age 13, Mary J. age 6, Emeline age 4, and John, age 5 months. They are all listed with the last name of Delon.

Eliza, his wife was born on the Oneida Indian Reservation in New York State.

Joseph died in Brown County, Wisconsin 2,16,1887. On his death certificate his place of birth is Sackets Harbor, New York.

Does anyone know of connections to their family? Mary Jane Delon is my Great-great grandmother.
